Private Training is the number one requested service we get from parents and players. I get the appeal, but from a business perspective it’s logistically the most challenging thing for us to offer.
A Program, Not An Hourly Session
If we were going to offer it, it had to be the right approach. It can’t just be an hourly session — it has to be a legitimate player development program. Players and parents need a roadmap, a program to follow, guidance, and measurable growth.
Working with a trainer can be incredibly valuable. A great trainer provides accountability, teaches, and provides insight to help a player grow. But a player needs to keep working on the days they’re not with a trainer.
How It Works
That’s where our Private Training program is different. Every player starts with an evaluation. From there, our trainers build a custom program tailored to the player’s needs. Part of each workout with a trainer is introducing players to the concepts and drills they’ll be working on through the week on their own.
Week by week, trainers adjust the program and continue to test and evaluate players to verify growth and progress.
- Step one
- An evaluation, so we know exactly where your athlete stands.
- Each session
- Coached work, plus the concepts and drills for the week ahead.
- Between sessions
- The athlete trains their own program, on their own time.
- Week by week
- The trainer adjusts, re-tests, and verifies the growth is real.
The Shooting Coach
Each player receives four trainings a month with a trainer. One of those trainings can be with a shooting coach. Similar to the other training, the shooting coach will build a custom shooting program for the player to work on through the month.
The shooting coach will break down film of the player’s shot, and will provide ongoing instruction via video throughout the month.
Everything Gets Tracked
Your athlete’s workouts and progress are all tracked through a custom program called YourStats, created by Training Zone to help trainers and players develop.
As a bonus, your athlete will have 24/7 access to the gym, and any group trainings offered in the program.
How To Start
The first step is a free evaluation. If you have questions before that, text us — a real person answers.
Start with an evaluation
Fifteen minutes. We watch your athlete work, tell you what we see, and recommend the program that fits.
